Baby & Me Intro Ages 6 months ~ 2 years For the parent who is a bit uncertain of infant swimming. This is a prerequisite to the Baby & Me Down Under class. You will have Fun while learning the basics of Infant swimming; The Child’s experiences will allow them to feel more comfortable in a water environment Baby & Me Down Under Ages 6 months ~ 2 years must have competed the Baby & Me jntro class. This Class is For the Child (and parent who is ready to experience breath holding and submersion. Back floating will be stressed by using the roll over method. Guppy Ages 2 ~ 3, 4 ~ 5, and 6 & older For the Child with minimal to no experience in the water and is hesitant to get their face underwater. The Child will be oriented to water and introduced to the basic skills. Turtle Ages 2 ~ 4, 5 & Older For the child with little experience in the water. The child can go underwater without hesitation. Child will work on roll over breathing with back float and arm stroke. Starfish Ages 3 ~ 5, 6 & older For the Child that can swim 5 ~ 6 feet unassisted, can perform roll over breathing with assistance and float unassisted on their back. The child will be introduced to side breathing and unassisted backstroke. Goldfish Ages 4 ~ 6, and 7 & older For the child who can’t take five consecutive breaths unassisted. Work will focus on freestyle with side breathing and backstroke. The child will be introduced to the breaststroke and butterfly. Octopus Ages 6 & older The child will continue to Fine tune freestyle and backstroke. Instructions will continue on breaststroke with introduction to butterfly. Children under 6 years of age must have approval from an instructor. Flying Fish Ages 5 ~ 7, and 8 & Older Child must be able to swim all four strokes. Emphasis will be on endurance, and the child will be introduced to turns. Dolphin Ages a 8 & older Technique, Technique, Technique is the emphasis in this class. Multiple lengths will be the bulk of this while maintaining good technique. Instructor approval required for this class. Adults Classes adapted for the beginner swimmer with a fear of the water and little or no experience. As well as adults with no fear and a desire to improve their strokes |
